In-network with Mutual of Omaha
Riverpark Dental of Howell is in-network with Mutual of Omaha. You pay the plan's contracted fee for each service — usually less than our standard fee — and we take care of the claim paperwork.
Some people have Mutual of Omaha dental coverage through an employer; others buy a plan on their own, for example after retiring, when work benefits end. Either way, the details are specific to your policy, so we check them with your member ID before you come in.
If you bought your own plan
Individually purchased dental plans can work differently from employer plans. Some include waiting periods before certain treatment is covered, or limits that apply in the first year. Our coordinators look up what your policy covers today and what may change later, so you can time treatment sensibly.
If something can safely wait until fuller coverage begins, we'll tell you. If it can't — a cracked tooth or an infection, for example — we'll explain your cost and your options plainly.
Keeping the teeth you have
Later in life, many large dental bills start as an old filling that cracks or gum disease that went unnoticed. Regular exams and cleanings — typically covered at or near 100% on most PPO plans — are how we catch these early, and each checkup includes an oral cancer screening.
When a tooth needs more, we do most of the work here: crowns and bridges, root canals, full and partial dentures and dental implants. Every option comes with a written estimate showing what Mutual of Omaha is expected to pay.

Paying for what insurance doesn't
Dental plans have annual maximums, and larger treatment such as implants can exceed them. In-house and third-party financing can spread the remaining balance over months. If your Mutual of Omaha coverage ends, our membership plan — $295 a year for adults — includes two exams, two cleanings, routine X-rays and an emergency exam, with 10% off other procedures.
