In-network with Meritain Health: what changes for you
Riverpark Dental of Howell is in-network with Meritain Health. We've agreed to the plan's contracted fee schedule, so the price of each procedure is set in advance and is usually lower than an out-of-network office would charge. You aren't asked to pay the full fee and wait for reimbursement — we send the claim ourselves.

Making sense of your plan paperwork
Employer-sponsored plans differ from one company to the next, so the benefit booklet from your HR department is the real source of truth for your Meritain Health coverage. Four terms do most of the work:
- Deductible — what you pay toward covered care each benefit year before the plan starts sharing costs. On many plans it doesn't apply to preventive visits.
- Coinsurance — your percentage after the deductible. Plans typically pay most for preventive care, less for fillings and less again for crowns or bridges.
- Annual maximum — the most the plan pays in a benefit year. Once it's reached, the rest of that year's care is out of pocket.
- Explanation of benefits (EOB) — the statement you receive after a claim. If it doesn't match our estimate, call us and we'll look into it.

At your exam, digital X-rays (up to 80% less radiation than traditional film) and intraoral camera photos show you what we see. If anything needs treatment, your written estimate separates what Meritain Health is expected to pay from what you'll owe — and you decide when to go ahead.
