How the membership plan works
Instead of paying an insurance company premiums and then meeting a deductible, you pay our office once a year. Cutting out the middleman removes the claim forms, waiting periods and surprise denials — and the savings are passed to you.
Your membership runs for 12 months from the date you join and your benefits start immediately. There are no deductibles, no annual maximums and no pre-approvals. Pricing is fully transparent: discounts are calculated from our standard professional fees, and you'll know the cost before any treatment.

Is a Dental Membership Plan Howell patients join better than insurance?
It depends on your situation. Dental insurance usually involves monthly premiums, a deductible, an annual maximum and sometimes waiting periods before major work is covered. The membership plan has none of those — just one known yearly cost for preventive care and a discount on most other treatment at our office.
The plan tends to suit people who are self-employed, between jobs, working somewhere that doesn't offer dental benefits, or who simply want predictable costs. If you already have a PPO plan, check our insurance page first — we are in-network with 32 plans.
The fine print, in plain English
We'd rather you know the limits up front than discover them later:
- The membership plan is not insurance and is not a qualified health plan under the Affordable Care Act.
- 30-day money-back: you can get a full refund within 30 days of purchase if no plan benefits have been used. Refunds after 30 days are at the practice's discretion.
- Plan benefits cannot be combined with insurance, other offers or discounts.
- Payment for any treatment not included in the plan is due at the time of service.
- Not covered: implant services (CDT codes D6000–D6199) and orthodontics, including comprehensive orthodontic treatment and appliance therapy (CDT codes D8000–D8999).
- Procedures completed by specialists outside our practice are not covered.
Paying for treatment the plan doesn't include
Implants and Invisalign® fall outside the plan, but they are not out of reach. Every treatment comes with a written, itemized estimate, and in-house and third-party financing lets you spread larger costs into monthly payments. Ask about it at your exam, or read about what dental implants cost.
